  You landed on a Polish Airport and do not know what to do next?

  One tip for you - before you get into a cab, ask for the price of the ride! Most taxi drivers will understand what you are asking about. If they ask for more than 45ZL to take you downtown, you are being ripped off! The best thing to do? Turn around and pretend you are looking for another taxi. The price will miraculously drop! This really works!

  While sightseeing downtown, use public transportation!

  It is really reliable, safe and very cheap! You have a choice to either ride a bus, a streetcar, a subway (in Warsaw) or "trolejbus" (an electric type of bus). Tickets are available in tiny booths called "KIOSK" which you can find on every corner. To save even more money, buy a daily pass that is good for all kinds of transportation. And if you do not speak a word of Polish, the chances are that at least one of the people waiting in line with you will speak some English and will be happy to help you for free!
